Hi, I am Juane!

a second-generation Chinese (Teochew) born and raised in the heart of Germany. Growing up in a traditional Chinese home, I always felt a bit out of sync. I was too strong-minded and individual for my Chinese family, yet seemingly too reserved and soft for the German culture surrounding me. It was and still is a constant inner battle.

After exploring life in places like Singapore and Dubai, my husband and I decided to settle in Switzerland (at least for now), where we are experiencing the joys and challenges of parenthood with our little one.

My stories are all about:

• My journey as a third-culture kid
• Dealing with intergenerational traumas
• The highs and lows of raising our child in a foreign land without the familiar support
• The complexities of an interracial relationship
